This modern wooden Linear piece features an ancient Japanese form of wood preservation. This technique is done by torching the wood, making it waterproof. The torching also raises the grain of the wood, which is a beautiful detail in this wallhanging.

The bottom part of the wallhanging has been left natural to show the stark contrast between the torched and untreated wood.

The entire piece is sealed with tung oil, and comes with hanging hardware attached for easy installation!
